Diana

A poetic exploration of the presence of the Roman goddess Diana in the historical Dutch Palace Paleis Het Loo, Apeldoorn. It expands on the elusive nature of Diana the huntress, while unpacking current and historical notions of hunting, the nature-culture split in western societies, and the role of Greek and Roman mythological figures in contemporary life. This book is a companion to the limited edition (108 bottles) perfume 'Diana', created by Marianna Maruyama for the exhibition "State of Wander: Towards Environmental Restoration," curated by Anna Bitkina and supported by the Mondriaan Fund and Paleis Het Loo.
