Federation versus Freedom

Certain voices have the power to suspend time and echo through the corridors of history with profound clarity. One such voice is that of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, whose works have illuminated the complexities of Indian society, particularly the entrenched caste system. 

For decades, Dr. Ambedkar's writings, particularly foundational texts like 'Castes in India', have served as keystones of Indian sociology and the fight for social justice. However, the importance of these works can sometimes be veiled by traditional academic presentations. Panther's Paw presents them with a fresh visual identity, one that promises to not only educate but also entice a new generation of readers.

Founded in 2016 by Yogesh Maitreya, Panther's Paw Publication has established itself as a pivotal platform for Dalit-Bahujan authors, giving a voice to those historically marginalized in Indian society. The publication house specializes in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, both in English and in translation; championing narratives that challenge the status quo and highlight the experiences of the Dalit community. 

Panther's Paw has begun a crucial endeavour to breathe new life into Ambedkar's seminal texts. The books in this series are ‘Castes in India’ and ‘Federation versus Freedom’.
