For the poetry cycle Het proces (‘The trial’) Iduna Paalman studied a variety of source materials about persecution of witches. Research into various trials, tales of well-to-do women who accused their maidservants of witchcraft and stories of women who escaped punishment have been turned by Iduna Paalman into a series of poems in which women’s bodies, sharp objects and oppression are eerily intertwined. The publication was designed by Jan van Eyck resident Yin Yin Wong.
