"Reading Tests" documents in four sections a set of reading tests posed and answered by two humans - a writer and a typographer - and their constant machinic interlocuter. A three part conversation is variably demonstrated. The book in its course opens another test, addressed to its reader: Do the words - in their concatenations and arrangements - make sense? In every case a desire to read and to negotiate sense is mobilized in pleasure and frustration.
